Designed specifically for 1969–1991 non-roller Ford 302 hydraulic flat tappet engines, this package delivers a dramatic improvement in throttle response, mid-range torque, airflow efficiency and top-end horsepower.
The 31-246-3 camshaft offers aggressive performance specs: .519″/.523″ lift, 274°/286° advertised duration, 230°/236° duration @ .050 and a 110° lobe separation angle. With over .519″ lift, the cam opens the valves deep into the cylinder head’s high-velocity flow zone, dramatically improving intake and exhaust efficiency. The extended duration allows the engine to maintain cylinder filling at higher RPM, delivering stronger mid-range punch and a clean pull toward 6,200 RPM.
