This complete valvetrain upgrade includes the Competition Cams 31-414-3 Magnum hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, Enginetech performance hydraulic lifters, a true double roller timing set and a set of 6.876-inch performance push rods. Designed specifically for 1969–1991 non-roller Ford 302 hydraulic engines, this kit provides a noticeable improvement in power, sound and throttle response while maintaining solid drivability.
The 31-414-3 camshaft delivers 270 degrees advertised duration, 224 degrees duration at .050, .500/.500 lift and a 110-degree lobe separation angle. These specifications increase valve lift and extend duration enough to dramatically enhance mid-range torque and airflow without requiring extreme supporting modifications. The result is quicker acceleration, improved throttle response and a stronger overall powerband from approximately 1,800 to 5,800 RPM. The 110° LSA creates a mild lope at idle while maintaining good braking vacuum and smooth low-speed operation.
