Designed for 1969–1991 non-roller Ford 302 hydraulic flat tappet engines, this kit delivers major gains in throttle response, mid-range torque, airflow efficiency and top-end horsepower.
The 31-242-3 camshaft features .509″/.512″ lift, 268°/280° advertised duration, 224°/230° duration @ .050 and a 110° lobe separation angle. The high lift opens the valves deep into the head’s most efficient airflow zone, dramatically improving intake and exhaust flow. The extended duration keeps valves open longer during peak velocity, increasing cylinder filling, combustion efficiency and overall engine output. This delivers a harder-pulling mid-range, improved top-end power and a more aggressive, responsive driving feel.
