This performance valvetrain package includes the Competition Cams 31-414-3 Magnum hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, Enginetech performance lifters, a true double roller timing set, and a Stage 2 high-performance spring and retainer kit. Designed for Ford 221, 260, 289 and 302 small block engines, this kit delivers a meaningful boost in mid-range torque, throttle response and overall power without sacrificing street drivability.
The 31-414-3 camshaft features 270 degrees of advertised duration, 224 degrees duration at .050, .500/.500 lift and a 110-degree lobe separation angle. This combination increases airflow and cylinder charge efficiency while maintaining stable idle quality and vacuum. The .500″ lift brings the valves deeper into the high-flow region of the cylinder head, while the 224° duration @.050 delivers more aggressive acceleration and stronger mid-range power.
