Designed for 1969–1991 non-roller Ford 302 engines, this kit provides dramatic performance gains, stronger acceleration, louder and more aggressive idle tone and significantly improved upper-RPM horsepower.
The Competition Cams 31-331-4 camshaft features 305° advertised duration, 253° duration at .050, .540″/.540″ lift and a tight 110° lobe separation angle. These specifications place this grind in the serious street/strip range. The .540″ lift opens the valves deep into the most efficient airflow zone of the cylinder heads, maximizing breathing capability. The long duration at .050 keeps the valves open longer at higher lift, increasing cylinder filling and combustion efficiency at elevated RPM.
