Designed for Ford 221, 260, 289 and 302 flat tappet engines, this kit provides a major upgrade in sound, throttle response, and mid-range torque. The 31-603-5 camshaft is one of the most aggressive flat tappet grinds available for the small block Ford. It delivers 295 and 312 degrees advertised duration, 243 and 257 degrees duration at .050, .512 and .497 lift, and a tight 107-degree lobe separation angle. These specifications create significant valve overlap, leading to the signature Big Mutha’ Thumpr choppy idle while improving cylinder scavenging and mid-range acceleration.
