This high-performance cam and lifter kit adds serious power, airflow and sound to Chevy 396–454 big block engines. The package includes the Competition Cams 11-433-8 hydraulic roller camshaft, Redline Performance link-bar lifters and a billet steel double roller timing set engineered for reliability and precise valve timing.
The 11-433-8 camshaft features .521″/.540″ lift, 288°/294° advertised duration, 236°/242° duration @ .050 and a 110° LSA. These aggressive specifications increase the engine’s ability to breathe by opening the valves deeper and keeping them open during the most efficient part of the airflow cycle. This results in stronger cylinder filling, improved torque and noticeably sharper throttle response.
The tight 110° lobe separation enhances scavenging and overlap, producing a powerful mid-range surge and a crisp, lopey performance idle that gives the engine a true street/strip character. Perfect for performance heads, headers, dual exhaust and aftermarket induction systems.
