Wake up your big block Chevy with this complete Redline Performance cam & valvetrain kit built around the legendary Competition Cams 11-602-8 Big Mutha’ Thumpr retrofit hydraulic roller camshaft, matched Redline Performance link bar hydraulic roller lifters, and a billet steel double roller timing set.
The 11-602-8 Big Mutha’ Thumpr is designed specifically for big block 396–454 engines (1967–1996) and is known for its extremely rough, choppy idle and serious street/strip power. With .570″ intake / .554″ exhaust lift, 299°/319° advertised duration, 243°/257° @ .050″ and a tight 107° lobe separation, this cam delivers that nasty, aggressive exhaust note everyone wants while pulling hard from about 2,300–6,100 RPM.
This kit includes Redline Performance link bar hydraulic roller lifters, built for retrofit BBC roller conversions where you need stability, oil control, and reliability at higher RPM. They pair perfectly with the Big Mutha’ Thumpr profile to keep the valvetrain under control when you’re deep into the throttle.
To keep cam timing rock solid, we include a billet steel double roller timing set with precision-machined billet sprockets and a heavy-duty double roller chain. This helps reduce stretch, maintains accurate valve timing, and supports the high spring pressures and RPM that performance big blocks see.
