This complete performance valvetrain package includes the Competition Cams 31-226-3 Magnum hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, Enginetech performance hydraulic lifters and a true double roller timing set. Designed for Ford 221, 260, 289 and 302 small block engines, this kit delivers a major upgrade in airflow, top-end strength and mid-range response compared to stock or mild performance cams.

The 31-226-3 camshaft features 280° advertised duration on both intake and exhaust, 230° duration at .050, .512″/.512″ lift and a 110-degree lobe separation angle. These specs signify a strong street/strip grind engineered to improve volumetric efficiency and cylinder filling. The .512″ lift allows the valves to open deep into the high-flow region of the cylinder head, while the 230° duration at .050 dramatically increases the time the valves remain open, enhancing torque and horsepower in the mid to upper RPM band. The 110° LSA introduces notable overlap, giving the engine a lopey, aggressive idle and improved exhaust scavenging.
