This complete performance upgrade includes the Competition Cams 31-226-3 Magnum hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, Enginetech performance hydraulic lifters, a true double roller timing set and a set of 6.876-inch push rods. Designed specifically for 1969–1991 non-roller Ford 302 hydraulic engines, this kit provides a dramatic improvement in airflow, acceleration, engine tone and overall performance.
The 31-226-3 Magnum camshaft is engineered with 280° advertised duration, 230° duration at .050, .512″/.512″ lift and a 110° lobe separation angle. These specifications place the cam in the strong street/strip category, delivering significantly improved mid-range and upper-RPM power. The .512″ lift allows the valves to open deeper into the high-flow region of the head, increasing volumetric efficiency and enabling stronger cylinder filling. The 230° duration at .050 extends the intake and exhaust event timing for more aggressive acceleration and stronger high-RPM performance.
