Designed for Ford 221, 260, 289 and 302 small block engines, this kit transforms a traditional flat tappet Ford V8 into a much more aggressive, higher-revving performance engine.
The Competition Cams 31-330-3 camshaft features 292 degrees of advertised duration, 244 degrees of duration at .050, .534″/.534″ lift and a 110-degree lobe separation angle. These specifications make this one of the most aggressive hydraulic flat tappet grinds available for the small block Ford platform. The .534″ lift moves the valves deep into the most efficient airflow section of the cylinder head, while the long duration keeps them open long enough to dramatically improve cylinder filling at high RPM.
