The Competition Cams 54-412-11 hydraulic roller camshaft is a great choice if you want a strong, street-ready performance boost for your GM LS Gen III/IV engine. With .522″ intake / .529″ exhaust lift, this cam opens valves deeper than stock, allowing your engine to breathe more freely. That increase in airflow translates directly into stronger throttle response and a livelier feel as soon as you press the gas.
Because the valves stay open longer — 212° intake / 218° exhaust duration @ .050″ — the engine gets more complete cylinder filling and better combustion efficiency. That means more usable torque from low RPM up through higher revs, plus smoother acceleration and more mid-range punch than a stock cam can deliver. It gives you a noticeable performance bump without needing extreme modifications.
The 114° lobe separation angle (LSA) balances performance and driveability.
